Past-life Regression

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Some clients come in asking for a past-life regression and others have past-life regressions come up during their treatment session. Whether you believe these past-life experiences are real or not their main purpose is to help us see where we’re stuck in our lives. Looking at what happened in a past-life/lives can give us a great deal of insight on how to heal with our present situation by changing our thoughts or belief systems. Personally, I do believe some regressions are real, but others are just helpful clues. One client saw herself as Snow White (cartoon), taking the apple and eating it. She knew the apple was poisonous so I asked her why she ate it. She told me she ate it so she wouldn’t upset the old lady. It comes back to our human conditioning. That “regression” allowed her to recognize that in this life she really did do a lot of things to make other people happy, things she didn’t want to do. This allowed her to recognize the significant amount of harm she was doing to herself by making those choices. If you feel stuck, a past-life regression might be what you need to shed some light on the situation so you can make necessary changes in your life.

What is a Healing Crisis?

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

A healing crisis doesn’t always happen after a treatment, but when it does some people confuse it and think the treatment has made them feel worse. Which is kind of true, but it’s a good thing. The majority of people start holistic healing as a last resort, although this has changed in recent years. Their body may be in a weakened state or they may be ill. Maybe they’re not sick, but something needs to change. Either way their body is working at less then an optimum state and toxins are trapped in their tissue. Circulation increases in the body when tissues and organs are worked on during a session. Because of this, toxins are released and enter the blood stream, then are eliminated by the liver, kidneys, bowel, and skin. What some would call a healing crisis are the physical symptoms of a runny nose, cold, diarrhea, stomach aches, aches and pains, headaches, or fatigue. These symptoms are actually part of your recovery as you enter a more deeply healed state. Please keep in mind that this is actually a good sign and indicates that healing is taking place. Once the toxins have released, the body adjusts and feels much better. When healing takes place your system will begin operating on a higher level of efficiency and you will have less ailments and more energy. Drinking water is the key to helping this process move along more quickly.

Yoga

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

This morning I headed off to my 90 minute power yoga class like I do every Friday. At 9:30 there was a group of us standing outside, no teacher in sight. Recently I’ve been wondering if I actually enjoy yoga or if it has just become a habit, Wednesday, Friday, Yoga. I feel great, or good anyway, after each class. It has really helped ease the tension in my back. Is that all it’s about?

Standing in the cold rain this morning, if it was a test, was a good one. I couldn’t leave. it was like when you pick up a book at Chapters and can’t put it back on the shelf - so you buy it. I kept hoping the instructor would show up. Ten minutes later someone finally called and a few minutes more we were in class.

During my practice I decided to focused my attention on my body and mind with the question, why am I here? Every posture encouraged me to work harder and allowed me to immediatly recognize success. I found that I congratulated myself when I went deeper into a poster or tried something new.

I realized that I loved yoga. There is something to be said for stopping and smelling the roses.
