Meditation

To meditate it is best to find a quite place to sit, either cross-legged on the floor, or on the edge of a chair. If your feet do not touch the floor use a pillow under your feet to anchor you to the floor. It’s very important that your back stays straight in order for the energy to flow.

Next you need to ground yourself. With your eyes closed, visualize a solid metal pole starting mid-back. See it growing down your spine, out your base chakra (located between your anus and genitals), visualize it going through the different levels - your floor, the basement, cement foundation, layers of sand, rock, lava, until it connects to the red core at the center of the earth. Once secure, follow the pole back up through all the layers until you reach mid-back. Now see that metal pole turn into white light and work its way up through the crown chakra (top of your head), out the roof of your home, into infinity. Visually follow the beam of light back into your body. You may feel a pull, allow it to happen until you align up and down. You can work on quieting your mind by listening to music (without words) or counting your breathe, into your belly and chest, 4 in 4 out. Repeating a mantra works well too, “I feel love,” “I’m at peace,” “I give thanks for all I have.” Placing the tip of your tongue behind your teeth and thumb to finger will strengthen the bond. Eventually just sitting in that spot will put you automatically into a meditation and quieting your mind will get easier. Because of this it is important to not your living room sofa or your bed. You don’t want to sit down with company and go into a meditation, neither do you want to meditate all night when you want to sleep.Meditation will become the best part of your day.
